Jess and Greg are getting married on August 7, 2010. Like most organized couples they booked us last year. What they didn’t know is that they would become a little famous in our community. You see, Ingersoll has this great publication named “Here in Ingersoll”. (If the cute little blonde kid on the summer 2010 front cover looks familiar it’s because we did the cover and it’s our son Sterling) Inside you will find all sorts of information on what’s going on in town from festivals to parks and recreation schedules to stories and interesting facts about town. Over the last couple issues you will have also been able to follow a bride and groom; our Bride and Groom, Jess and Greg!
Last year, myself and few local wedding vendors thought it would be a great idea to showcase Ingersoll as a great destination for brides with in 45 minutes of town to come and plan their weddings in a relaxed small town atmosphere. You see, on our main street, and and side streets, you can find a GREAT photographer (us), a wedding gown and formal wear shop (Sew Stylish), a caterer/wedding cakes (The Olde Bakery Cafe), wedding rings (Lesser Brothers Jewelers), Reception Hall (Elm Hurst Inn), wedding favours (weddingfavours.ca), invitations, flowers (Floral Occassions, Fernlea Flowers), wine making (Ingersoll Water and Wine), hotels and many more wedding services. “Happily Ever After” really does begin in Ingersoll. One ways of promoting our group was to follow a bride as she planned her whole wedding in Ingersoll. Jess will be using lots of services in Ingersoll and their wedding will be at the Elm Hurst. “Here in Ingersoll” has been keeping a diary (photos by Trish) of the events and it has been published in the last two issues with one or two more to go with the actual engagement and wedding photos.
