I love going to get my hair cut. I find it to be very relaxing and a time to have an easy chat with my friend Ronda Hurley. Sometimes I even float away as her fingers run through my hair and her scissors do their skillful work.
The other day Sterling and I went in for our last hair cut before Ronda goes on maternity leave. It started out as our usual adventure with Sterling excited to see Ronda knowing he would go home with coloured gel in his hair and a treat from her for being so good. He was chatting away with Ronda and I and slowly the conversation became quite . I was busy taking pictures (which explains why they are not “Trish” quality) and realized Sterling starting to lean a bit to one side. Before I knew it he fell asleep right in the chair as Ronda was cutting his hair. To get the last couple pictures safely Ronda had to hold him up. I, in turn, had to hold him so she could finish.
Ronda this is a true testament to your abilities at putting your clients at ease, even a three year old, in a relaxing environment. Thank you for taking such great care of Sterling since his first haircut when he was one year old. You’re great. Sterling will miss you while you take time to have your baby.
Here are some photos from our visit with Ronda. Taken by me, so they are not professional by any means.
