A few years ago Trish and I wanted to come up with a fun and unique way to raise some money for Big Brothers and Sisters of Ingersoll and Tillsonburg and give back to our community. We had been to a living room concert earlier that year and thought that it was a wonderful experience.
We are now hosting our third concert. In the past we have had Rik Emmett of Triumph fame and Alan Frew of Glass Tiger. This month we are pleased to announce that Pat Dinizio, singer song writer and guitarist of the Smithereens, will be in our living room Saturday January, 30th.
Pat tells me he is going to do a 3 hour show that will be all request. It is obvious that he will do his own music from the Smithereens but if you check out his website, www.patdinizio.com , you will see that he is a big fan of The Who, The Beatles, Buddy Holly and a lot of other greats. I’m sure it is going to be a great show!! As a further bonus, if you are a musician, you will have the opportunity to join him on stage for a song or two. What an opportunity! Beyond all that he will definitely share some stories of being on the road and playing with other famous musicians.
The night of the concert, doors will open to Custom Concept Photography, 115 Thames Street south Ingersoll, giving you access to our home, Tribune Loft, at 8:00pm sharp. The concert will start at 9:00pm. There will be a bar set up with wine and beer and we ask for a $3 donation per drink. (Pretty reasonable!!) Of course Pat will stay late to sign autographs and chat will fans.
I promise that even if you are not familiar with Pat or the Smithereens you will have a fun time listening to great music and a night out that promises to be unbelievable. So get a group of friends together and come out to support Big Brothers and Sisters.
