It was a dark and stormy night…Well not really, but it did start off bad.  After meeting Amber and Tyler at the Tim Horton’s in Forest we headed to Amber’s cottage.  Along the way it started to rain and then the sky darkened as the rain quickly turned into a wet snow.  What was starting to look like a potentially washed out engagement session, luckily turned out to be a cool but beautiful fall day for Amber and Tyler’s engagement session on the beach.   What do you expect, it was Halloween day.  Not soon after Trish started to do photos inside the cottage, the sun broke through and delivered an incredible rainbow that we unfortunately missed.   This left us with a great day to finish their engagement session outside.

When Amber asked us  if we would drive an hour to her cottage to do their engagement photos, I totally understood why!  Like Amber, I also have a family cottage that means so much to me, and my family.  Amber spent her summers at her’s since she was 12 and her love for the family cottage has rubbed off on Tyler.  The cottage has become a very special place for both of them to spend quality time together and grow their love for each other.  As a father, I know how much I love watching Sterling and Tristan experience so many new adventures that only the cottage can bring.  While talking to Amber and Tyler about their future family, you can’t help but see how excited they are to get married and start a family that I know is going to cherish many summers at their cottage too.   Amber and Tyler, you guys did a great job and look absolutely wonderful together.  We can’t wait to photograph your wedding.  Until then,  here are your engagement photos to show off taken at a place that means so much to both of you.
